Team Jesus Update: January 22, 2026

Happy Thursday Family of God! Hope all is well!

The past few weeks, I worked pretty hard compiling our 2025 ministry recap (which you can see here- Team Jesus 2025 Recap – Awaken Florida), so the weekly updates got put on the backburner. Because of that, I will include a few weeks of highlights here.

First off, on Monday night, I shared a message at The Front about God’s faithfulness to His Word (a message I needed as much as anybody right now). I heard from a number of people that it was very timely given what they were going through. I pray it blesses you too. You can see it by clicking below.

In the beginning of the message, I also shared the latest updates on Faith and Family Month, which you’ll definitely want to hear. It is SUPER encouraging.

We’ve had some really great outreaches lately too. Some nights have been pretty cold though and some nights have been pretty rainy, but otherwise we’ve had good crowds and good fruit.

This was one night at Bayfront Park when we had an army of laborers come. That was an encouragement for sure.

Here’s a few pics of people getting ministered to:

This was one night when our bro Karson was back in town ministering with us. Two young guys came over and soaked in the Word as he was preaching for about 10 minutes:

My favorite moment though was meeting Noah. Noah came and listened to me preach for about 15 minutes and then talked to me for close to an hour. He opened up to me a lot about his struggles with sin and with faith. He received everything I shared with him and asked Jesus to be Lord of his life at Bayfront.

Riverwalk has been on fire. It seems like every week we pray with at least 10 kids to receive the Lord. Here’s a few pics:

So cute to see these two girls so enthusiastically taking all the resources we have. I had to take a picture!

Another cool moment was seeing one of our new teammates Linda, overcome her fear of preaching on the mic and seeing several people (the two kids on the right and he two people to the left on the bench) get drawn over to listen to her:

All received prayer afterwards.

Another cool moment was meeting AJ. He came and listened to me preach for a while and then prayed with me to receive the Lord.

Last weekend a big group of kids came over (about half are pictured below) and hung around for a while during worship:

This girl even started preaching. ALOT!

I’m really excited that we will have another church team coming to help us this weekend, this time from Generation Church. Please come out if you can!

Siesta has been really good too. Good crowds, and a lot of good ministry.

We also had a baptism one night, which drew a good crowd and led to some good ministry at the shoreline:

Speaking of baptisms, after Siesta one night we went to Chipotle for fellowship and one of the workers asked me- “do you remember me?”

As I struggled to recall him, he said “you baptized me at Siesta Beach 4 years ago and I’ve been walking with the Lord ever since.”

He also told me his wife was following God now too and he started crying a little bit as he told me. It was so powerful to see the long-term fruit of these brief interactions. Here he is:

There was also one pretty wild moment recently where the head voodoo lady in the drum circle had a showdown with the maintenance guy David. She was doing some kind of ceremonial thing where she lit her helmet on fire, and he put a stop to that real quick. I feel like I was supposed to be there to see it because it was meant to be a sign of the drum circle losing power:

One other cool bit of ministry we did lately was when we teamed up with Christian Retreat and went caroling inside of bars on Christmas Eve. People were very open and one bar even let us use their sound system which was awesome.

Never a dull moment!

I’ll be excited to see what happens this weekend.

Team Jesus!

Love you!

PS- For whatever reason participation has been pretty light the last few months, so please come when you can!
