Team Jesus Update: November 5th, 2026

Happy Thursday Saints! Hope you are well!

What a sobering week it has been. To say I’m stunned by the “Blue Tsunami” that went across America would be a huge understatement. And to see Texas go blue…was one of the biggest political shocks of my lifetime.

Given all of that, I am beyond grateful that Florida withstood the storm. Yes, it was WAY closer than it should have been, but…wins are still wins. We definitely got the mercy of God.

Sofiya and I watched the results come in from our air b and b in Tallahassee. We drove up there on Monday night and came back yesterday morning. I spent most of the day on Tuesday at the Capitol building. Here’s a pic from the lobby:

Most of my time was spent on the 22nd floor (the top floor) in the observatory, where I prayed and worshipped for hours. Here’s a pic:

While up there I also sent out voting reminders to about 500 contacts and I cried out to God for mercy, and for a massive election day turnout. Praise God, He gave us both.

We finished the day with a 611,000 republican voter advantage over democrats, which was enough to win the election by just over 100,000 votes.

Here was Governor Desantis’ comment on it the next day. Hearing it made me tear up with gratitude:

While I was at the Capitol, I also got to pray and connect with the couple that leads the Hilltop House of Prayer, which is the main HOP in Tallahassee. They have been contending for Florida for over 30 years and have prayed over 6 of our Governors.

They told me that the top floor of the Capitol is known as the Isaiah 22:22 floor.

β€œThen I will set the key of the house of David on his shoulder, When he opens no one will shut, When he shuts no one will open.“

It is also very prophetic that the Desantis Administration put plaques of many of our key founding documents on the wall in the observatory, including the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution, The Emancipation Proclamation and my personal favorite- The Mayflower Compact written by the Pilgrims:

I sat under this some of the time that I was praying, while wearing my Pilgrim shirt with their names on the back…and remembering the covenant that was made all those years ago.

Here is Governor elect Donalds, appropriately praising Jesus for the victory during his election night speech:

So, what is the answer to this situation? Pretty simple- keep doing what we are doing, do more of it, and recruit others to do the same.

I believe this is an era when the Lord is raising up messengers like Charlie Kirk, to preach the Gospel AND to rally believers to get more involved in Government. We need to be those people even more than we already have been.

And it all begins with developing what I would call a “Kingdom Mindset”, where we actually begin to understand that we have been given a Gospel of the Kingdom, and that God wants us to impact and influence every sphere of society with His Love, His Light, His Power and His Word.

I preached a message about developing this mindset last week, and it is worth watching and sharing.

Let’s continue to pray and believe that many more Kingdom Christians will rise up in the days to come!

The other piece of good news from Tuesday was that conservative candidate Heidi Brandt beat the liberal candidate Jimmy Glover in the school board run-off, despite getting far fewer votes in the August election.

Now it is a 4-1 liberal majority instead a 5-0 majority, and it means we could win the majority back in 2028. Praise God!

What else is wild is that I actually ran into Jimmy Glover when I was picking up my rental car to go to Tallahassee. He was renting a car also. He recognized me from the school board meetings, and I shared my salvation testimony with him.

He told me that he was raised Christian and that his grandfather was a pastor. Before he left, I laid hands on him and prayed for him to receive a fresh revelation of Jesus and to be drawn back home.

Such a wild Divine appointment!

And as for the outreaches last weekend, they were great.

Friday and Sunday crowds were pretty small, but we still had some solid Divine appointments.

On Saturday, we had an army come out to the Riverwalk and got to pray for lots of kids to receive Jesus.

Here’s us praying in the beginning:

Here’s one pic of me praying with a group of young teenagers.

There were also several other teams out throughout the weekend for “Fire on the Water” which was a unified regional outreach.

I’m excited to get back out on the streets this weekend, and I hope you join us!! Team Jesus definitely needs all the help we can get!

Love and blessings!
