Team Jesus Update: September 4th, 2026

Happy Friday Family of God! Hope all is well!

It’s been another great week on the mission fields. But, before I get to the outreach recaps, let me share another encouraging piece of data that recently came out regarding Americans’ overall openness to scripture:

The American Bible Society recently reported that the number of people who are unsaved yet curious about the Bible- is up by about 9 million in the last 2 years. This definitely correlates with all the other “revival stats” we’ve been seeing and is yet another encouragement to keep sharing the Word with people!

On Friday, we had pretty good foot traffic and we got to plant a lot of seeds. Two women joined us for prayer in the beginning and asked us to pray for a loved one who was battling serious health problems. They were both really moved by how God had orchestrated our paths to cross and one was even crying a little bit. Here we are:

We got to counsel a number of believers that night too, including one young couple who was very hungry. We also handed out a good number of tracts. I also had a pretty cool Divine appointment with a girl that had a “birthday girl” crown on. The date was 8/28 so I gave her this entire message about Romans 8:28 and it really blessed her. I got to pray for her too.

We were also encouraged when Sara showed up and told us about how a team from Ekballo had gone out to minister on the streets of downtown that night also. The army is arising!

And speaking of the army arising, we were also VERY encouraged to see a woman who we’ve ministered to at Bayfront before, come by and tell us that she was at the park the night before and she met a family that was there praying. They were clearly Spirit filled and very on fire, so the woman was very intrigued.

She waited until they were done, and then she spoke with them, and they said that God called them to come to the park every Thursday around 11pm and to pray into the next day. I found this SO fascinating, because apparently,, they’ve been doing this for a while and we never knew. I don’t believe it is a coincidence that the Lord told them to do this the night before we go to minister. As I said before, the army is arising!

Here we are with the woman

On Saturday, it rained and rained and rained. I did end up going to Riverwalk though and to my surprise, a few other laborers came out. There was almost nobody in the park, so we mostly just fellowshipped, but we did have one Divine appointment with a young man who recently got saved. We got to minister to him a lot.

We were also joined by a woman named Jill, who got connected with us through a friend. Jill actually used to be in the music industry, and she even toured with Beyonce and Taylor Swift and was offered a contract by Universal Records. She said that they formally asked her to sell her soul in order to be signed though and she refused. She later got born again and now she leads worship. She said she wants to come out with us a lot because she loves evangelism.

Here we are, along with Kim.

On Sunday, we got delayed by the rain but thankfully it was clear by about 7. We had a pretty fruitful night too and we got to give out some tracts and plant some good seeds. Susan and Larry even had a Divine appointment with a couple in a truck who ended up praying to receive the Lord. I didn’t get a picture of them, but I did get a picture of the truck so I would remember.

I also saw a young man who I ministered to about two years ago. He was in a pretty dark place back then, and defitnely had his struggles since, but he came by to testify about how good God has been to him and how much his life has changed. It was a real blessing to see him.

Things are moving pretty well with The Joy Project mission too. We’ve got over 40 outreaches listed and we’ve got close to 300 users. I got this testimony the other day too, which was cool:

Keep us in prayer as we continue to bring this new wineskin to our community.

One other announcement is that on Monday, we are doing a Labor Day outreach with our friend Rob, who ministered with us on the 4th of July. That will be a lot of fun. Come if you can!

BIG thanks to all who came out to serve! Hope to see you on the mission fields again soon!
