Team Jesus Update: July 10th, 2025

Greetings Fam! Hope all is Glorious!

What a week it was! Last Thursday, we took a road trip down to Naples to visit our good friends Mike and Rochelle, who were given a 3.5-million-dollar house to stay in for about two weeks. Here’s us out back by the pool:

There were close to 20 people staying in this house and it was quite an experience being there. During the day we went with our good friend Lucas to the high dollar district of dowtown Naples and we preached the gospel on the street.

It was a great time, and a good number of people stopped to listen. At one point, I did have the cops called on me though, which was wild! Apparently, Naples has a city ordinance against using amplified sound, so I told the cop I’d be willing to take the fine to keep preaching. When all was said and done, he just gave me a warning and left. Definitely made me grateful that we don’t have laws like that in the 941!

That night, Mike and Rochelle asked me to share a Word with the group and the Lord put on my heart to speak on the history of America and how unity was the key to all of our nation’s biggest breakthroughs. We then discussed Ephesians 4 and John 17. Afterwards, they all gathered around us, prayed over us and even washed our feet. It was the first time anyone had done that for me in quite a while, and it was a powerful moment.

If you look closely, you can see Natalie has her hands out like she’s ready to receive something. So cute!

We drove home that night and the next day was a full day of ministry and celebration. You may know this, but on Friday our nation officially began its 250th year, which will finish on July 4th, 2026. That means that it is a year of Jubilee, and in the Bible, the year of Jubilee is very special and comes with national promises.

You shall thus consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty through the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you, and each of you shall return to his own property, and each of you shall return to his family.

Leviticus 25:10

This promise of Jubilee is very intertwined with our nations story too. In fact, the famous Liberty Bell, which was made in the 1750’s and hung over the Pennsylvania State House where the decalration was later signed, actually has that verse inscribed on it:

This was such a prophetic act by our forefathers, because they inscribed this on the bell more than a decade before it even looked like we might have to break away from the British. And hung it over the building they would eventually make the decree from. Amazing.

All that to say, be ready for God to do some new things this year to bring freedom and restoration to individuals, families, communities and our nation as a whole.

On that note, how amazing that the year of Jubilee began with our government officially defunding Planned Parenthood!! This is monumental because Planned Parenthood has received government funding (in the form of Medicaid reimbursement) since 1970, and the funds they recieve account for close to 40% of thier revenue. They are saying that this may force them to close 200 death clinics across 24 states. Hallelujah!!

Here’s their official response statement. So exciting to see the demons trembling who are over this movement! Planned Parenthood “defunded,” but we’re still here.

Since we had the big event at Riverwalk in the evening, I made the Bayfront outreach at noon, and I ended up being the only one there to minister! It was really fruitful though. Many people stopped and took gifts and tracts, and I got to pray for several people. One girl literally started crying as I asked her if I could pray for her and she told me that her good friend was in a terrible car accident the night before and was fighting for his life. Such a Divine orchestration. I also got interviewed for an online show and got to minister to the hosts, and I even met a man who died, saw hell and got brought back to life. Such an incredible testimony.

Last week I also read this testimony on Facebook from a man who we met and ministered to at the Bayfront back in December:

So cool!

Once I got home from the Bayfront, I rested briefly and then hit the road around 4. On my way to Riverwalk, I was blown away that for the first time, I saw a Jesus billboard near the Riverwalk:

That definitely got me fired up!

Once I got to Riverwalk, I found an amazing parking space, the setup was smooth, and the entire event was AWESOME. We had a great worship team from The Front and Christian Retreat and at the peak there were probably 150+ people there worshipping. As we usually do, we set up the gift table right by the entrance and many people stopped and received gifts and prayer. Here’s a few pics:

I probably prayed with close to 20 people to receive Jesus just myself and there was much more ministry going on than just that. At one point, a young boy walked by with his mom and came over, talked to us and prayed to receive the Lord. He told us that he was there last year and saw us baptize someone and wanted to come back this year to be baptized also. Amazing that he waited all year long to do it that way! Here’s me sharing the testimony, he comes up at the end. So precious!

A little later on I shared a short message detailing the history of Christian persecution in the world and how America was founded to be a safe haven to fulfill Psalm 132- to create a habitation for God’s Presence. Here’s a clip:

As the night went on, people kept coming to line up for the fireworks, and for the first time in 5 years of doing ministry while the fireworks were going on, two police officers came and told me that using the speaker was against city ordinance. I pressed them for an answer as to why I’d always been green lighted by police in the past, but they didn’t really make it clear. They also weren’t able to pull up the exact statute they were citing either. I told them, what I told the cop in Naples which was that I was ok getting fined (or even going to jail) as long as I could keep spreading the Word. After much back and forth (and an intense moment or two) they finally gave up and left.

Many people came to me afterwards and thanked me for taking such a stand. I felt like the Lord actually used the interaction to be a witness to every one of the seriousness of the Gospel and the seriousness of preaching it no matter the consequence. One of our friends who was there even posted this about it the next day:

Never a dull moment when you’re serving Jesus!!

I also thought it was cool and prophetic that someone gave me a $50 bill on the first day of the Jubilee:

Another amazing thing the Lord did that night was He held off the rain for the entirety of the event. Even the day before, the weather forecast called for an 80% chance of rain during the event and our pastors were even contemplating cancelling. Not only did the rain hold off, but we also had cloud cover and breeze. It was awesome!

However, once I got all packed up and began driving home… a deluge of rain came down!! Here’s what it looked like on the radar:

And here’s a video of it:

Thank you Jesus!

The next day, we had a great service at the Retirement Home where I shared a similar message to what I shared the night before at Riverwalk. It was really cool to have Sofiya and Natalie there too, along with the Humphrey family and a few other children. It definitely brightened up their day and made for a very age diverse congregation! Here’s our Team Jesus at the end:

That evening at Riverwalk, we linked up with a huge crew of evangelists from a Hispanic church and we had one of our biggest prayer circles in months. 19 people!

The park wasn’t super busy that night but many kids came to get gifts and prayer. This little girl even prayed to receive Jesus:

At one point, someone came to us and told us that it looked like a man was having a satanic ritual at the amphitheater, so we went to check it out. When we got there, we saw this journal at the entrance, and this guy was on the platform speaking:

I hung around for a few minutes and realized that he was taking a group of people on a “ghost tour” and he was there explaining what was about to happen. At one point, he asked everyone if they had ever seen a ghost and I raised my hand and said “I’ve seen one that was cast out of someone in the name of Jesus”

He was so intrigued that he actually asked me more about it in front of everyone and then said that he would have to share that story with people in the future. Then, a woman walked by who had been given a gospel tract and I ended up praying for her in front of everyone. A few minutes later, Dillan came down from the platform and I asked him if I could pray for him and he was super receptive. I prayed Ephesians 1:17 over him and he thanked me and received my witness of Jesus. It was awesome!

On Sunday. things began with a bang. A young man came right up to the gift table right after we got it set up and began asking me about Jesus. He knew a little bit but didn’t have a real grasp on what the Gospel was, so I explained it to him. He soaked it all up and said he wanted to receive Jesus, so we prayed. Here’s us afterwards:

A little while later, a brother and sister who were about 14 and 15 came up asking questions too. They told me their family went to church when they were young but stopped about 4 years ago and never went back or really talked about it again. They talked with me for quite a while about the Lord and I shared the full gospel with them too. They both prayed to receive Jesus also and I even ended up praying for their parents too which was awesome!

I heard from everyone that night that many people stopped and talked, took gifts, and received prayer. Not many pics, but here’s one:

At one point I also talked extensively with a young man who was raised Jehovah’s witness, and I shared with him the true Gospel. He also prayed to receive Jesus. It was such a good night!!

BIG thanks to Augast, Ricardo, Chuck, Debbie, Maxx, Isa, Jenny, Mauricio, The Spanish team, Michelle, Gene, Amber, Joe, Justin, Mike M, Mike F, Chris, Geraldine and all the others who came to serve. Great work!

Speaking of the team, check out our brother Jack in the latest issue of the CBN Newsletter:

Very cool to see Jesus becoming more and more famous!!

That’s all for today Beloved! Hope to see you again soon!!!

Chris

P.S. This week is also a very special week for the ministry, because it was 4 years ago that Awaken 941 was officially launched via a massive donation which allowed us to buy the van. It also came with this card, which was super encouraging.

He has been SO faithful!!!
